Short synopsis
G LUV is a hardhitting modern day, dark fairy tale that tells the story of a young girls dream to make it in the entertainment industry. However the perils and realisat ion of how harsh and cold it can be t ake us into the dark and menacing side within all the glitz and glamour.
Set in today’s world of E entertainment, MTV, Myspace, Facebook, & reality TV where entertainment is perceived as a way out for most young people. It’s a shocking portrayal of the entertainment world set in the underbelly of the music industry, a place where morality is a difficult concept.
Times are tough for beautiful and sassy Keisha she grew up in the council estates of London where everyone wants out. Tired of seeing her sick mum struggle and the constant head f*!k of not making enough money being a video girl, she wants to move on to bigger and better things. In comes charming US rapper “P” in town for a short time offering her a way out, but with his own dark motives.
Sexy Sarah (Keisha’s on & off friend) the local groupie who believes “sleeping with celebs” is a means to an end, wants out of the industry. Just one more job and she can move her family away. This time she’s taken more than she can swallow, an unscrupulous manager hires her to do what seems like an easy job “one last f*!k” but makes her question who she really is and jeopardizes the life of her son.
Rico a self made UK rapper who just got signed, wont leave his street drug dealing business behind. He faces pressing times whilst trying to pull Keisha out before she gets in too deep. Dire consequences from the drug game creep up on him from the last place he expects…
As their lives intertwine this riveting authentic tale of glamour, sex, desperation and betrayal set in the world of entertainment turns Keisha and Sarah’s world upside down, as they face a fight for truth, love, and life itself.
